Set up in 1928 it is now one of the most modern aquariums in Europe. Recently reformed it has a transparent tunnel which gives you a 360º view where you can see sharks and many other types of fish. It holds almost 5000 different species of marine life. You get the feeling that you find yourself in the middle of the sea and that you are a part of the life beneath the surface.   

There are also a naval museum, giftshop, café and a 208 seat auditorium with first-rate audiovisual equipment. Films connected with the sea are projected non-stop during Aquarium hours.
