The Basque Country has two official laguages: the Euskera and the Spanish (Castellano). The whole population speaks Spanish. The use of Euskera, the original language of The Basque Country, is more restricted. It is a language whose origins are still not revealed and it has no similarities at all with the neighboring languages, not rooted to Latin nor Indoeuropean.
Signs on the roads, in airports, in harbours, in official centers, etc. are often bilingual. Besides, a lot of Basque people know French or English.
