San Fermines, better known as the Running of the Bulls, is one of the most famous festivals in the world and has attracted people to the north of Spain ever since Hemingway spread the word about this one of a kind event. The festival is held 45 minutes southeast of San Sebastian in Pamplona, the capital of Navarra, and will run from the 6th to the 14th of July. Throughout the event there will be shuttle services to and from San Sebastian.
This is a chance to see a traditional Spanish festival with an international atmosphere as participants come from all over the world. Apart from the actual running of the bulls every morning, the encierros, there will be organized events throughout the week such as concerts. The whole town of Pamplona supports the festival and there is always a very welcoming atmosphere. There is a great website for the festival with all event information as well as tips and testimonials so that you make the most of your experience.
