Lacunza is included in the Brookhaven College study abroad program. This means that you may receive university credits from Brookhaven for your course work done here at Lacunza. Brookhaven College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (http://www.sacscoc.org/). These credits should be transferable to any U.S. university.
How to get credits
1) Make sure your school will accept transfer credits from Brookhaven College. Consult your academic advisor and/or Spanish department head
2) Register for your course at Lacunza and let us know that you wish to receive credit
3) Fill out the supplemental registration form for receiving credits (provided by Lacunza)
4) After having registered for your course at Lacunza, we will send all of your information to Brookhaven.
5) Brookhaven will contact you with all of the details you will need to receive your credits.
6) At the end of your course, your performance will be evaluated based on your: attendance, class participation, weekly tests and an essay written in Spanish describing your experience.
7) Once your transcript is available at Brookhaven, you may request that it be sent to your home university.

Fees
Brookhaven charges the following processing fees for issuing credits. As Brookhaven is a public college, the fees vary depending on your place of residence. These fees are to be paid directly to Brookhaven. Lacunza course fees are not included in these prices. Some students may qualify for financial aid. This should be requested during the registration process with Brookhaven College.

Conditions
-The credit request process must begin before you start your course at Lacunza
-Credits and grades are issued by Brookhaven College not Lacunza
