Lacunza...this is not only a school of Spanish language, this was a great colorful experience of my life. Apart from amazingly beautiful city of San Sebastian that can be better described in poems than in prose, school teachers, staff and activities organised are the ones that help you explore all the corners of the city, understand pecularities of their rich language and meet a great amount of people from all over the world! Without Lacunza there will be no San Sebastian for me, without San Sebastian – no Lacunza! I just loved spending the whole day in the beach with surfers on Zurriola Beach, then eating some “pinchos” in those numerous bars of Parte Vieja, which is situated right beteween the two beaches, and then staying there in discos till the very dawn! Just GREAT! Unique! P.S. in such a small city they also manage to have all the shops i love (and at prices much lower than in Moscow – Uterque, Zara, Massimio Dutti...)!

Hello, everyone, I am Xu Yun from China. I have been studying Spanish in Lacunza International House almost 5 months by now. I enjoy it very much. The teachers are both knowledgeable and patient. Moreover, the city is very charming. When I am tired, I take a walk along the beach ‘la cocha’ and refresh myself. The unique ‘pinxchos’ are also one of my favorite here.

I am currently doing a 5 month internship at Lacunza. The first 4 weeks I did a Spanish course to refresh my Spanish and to prepare for the internship. I loved the classes and the teachers are great and very helpful. During the internship I can put my learned knowledge into good use whilst helping at the reception and in the marketing department. I really like to be in San Sebastian. The city is great, I love to go to the beach and the food here is the best I ever had! Thanks to Lacunza I am really improving my Spanish and I met a lot of other students so we are all enjoying the time at the school and in this great city!

The more I stay here in Lacunza and San Sebastian, the more I love this school and this city. I used to work in a travel agency in Japan and I travelled to a lot of cities and after visiting more than 50, my most favourite city was San Sebastián. So I decided to quit my job in Japan and came to San Sebastián. I have been here for the last 9 month, the first 3 month, I was studying with Lacunza, where I learned a lot and made tons of friends. And fortunately from last December, I started an internship with the school as well. Even though I still need to brash up my Spanish, I notice that my Spanish got much better than when I got here; I didn’t know any Spanish when I first came and now thanks to Lacunza, I don’t have any problems working here; calling local people and companies, organizing activities.I am really glad that I chose Lacunza and San Sebastián. I love Lacunza because all the staff and teachers are so friendly and helpful, and for me the size of the school is perfect. It’s not too big and not too small. Throughout the year there are enough students to make friends, but also I know almost everyone in this school, which makes me really comfortable being here.I am so excited how my adventure turns out in the future!

The teachers here are really nice and competent. Besides, there is a good programme with different leisure activities. I think that San Sebastián is the most beautiful city of Spain.

My Brother and I had to make the Madrid Chamber of Commerce Spanish Exam this Summer for our Universities. We both had basic spanish knowledge, but with this it wasn't possible to pass the exam. So we went to Lacunza and they taught and trained us so well that after four weeks of intensive learning it was nearly easy to pass this important exam. We’d like to thank the whole team of Lacunza for this great and pleasant time in San Sebastián and with whole team Lacunza we really mean everyone the teachers for teaching, the administration for this great apartment we had and of course the front desk that supported us in many ways and welcomed us every morning with a warm smile. I’d really like to say "Hasta Pronto".

Andrés López

I’m from San Sebastian and I have known Lacunza my whole life. Now that I am a Spanish teacher in the U.K., I can confidently send my students to them for the full immersion experience. They know how to live up to their good reputation!

Lacunza has a dynamic, stimulating atmosphere, and the longer you stay, the more you enjoy the classes and the other students. Your fellow learners of Spanish are from all over the globe, with interesting background and stories. In classes and after school in the cafés (and bars), your fellow students stimulate you to speak better Spanish.

My expectations were fulfilled from the onset. The arrival was warm and organized, meaning I was placed in an appropriate level form the get go, and didn’t have to worry about any problems with accommodation or adjustment. For a busy executive like me, Lacunza was the ideal destination. Their methodology, service and infrastructure were top level, and in just 2 weeks I noticed a significant improvement in different facets of my Spanish, and am more prepared to conduct business in the language. Outside of class, San Sebastian is a fantastic city, relaxing but never without something exciting going on. It’s proximity to France and to the ocean makes it even better.

Bart te Nijenhuis

During 2 weeks I attended group as well as individual classes at Lacunza. The diversity of the covered material as well as the fact that you have a different instructor for every class, facilitates being able to pay attention and makes learning Spanish a cheerful and fun experience. In the individual class, you focus on specific issues like grammar or pronunciation. This has been a great experience, especially in a city like San Sebastian with its beautiful beach and fantastic rural surroundings. Whenever I have the chance, I´ll come back to Lacunza!
