WEEK 1
Monday: Orientation Tour and Welcome Party As soon as the students arrive they will visit the major points of interest in the city. This will help them orient themselves with the key parts of the city: The Cathedral, Post Office, medical assistance, meeting points, the beaches, and the port. After the tour, we will gather and have a small party to become acquainted with one another and make new friends.
Tuesday: San Sebastian Panoramic Sightseeing along the world famous bay of La Concha will lead us to Mount Igueldo, where we will take a cable-car that will take us up to the top of the hill. Once there, we will be able to enjoy a wonderful and unique view of the whole city and its surroundings from the Amusement Park located at the top. After, we will go down to the "Wind Combs", Eduardo Chillida's well-known sculpture that plays with the waves in a curious effect that takes place at high tide. Once the excursion is finished we will take the bus to come back to the centre of the city.
Wednesday: Movie at the School We will show a movie in the projection room at the school for the enjoyment of the whole group. The movie will be shown in Spanish with subtitles in Spanish as well. This is the best way to "develop an ear" for a language and an excellent way to learn while having fun.
Thursday: Ice Skating One of the many sports available in San Sebastian is located at the Ice Skating Rink "Txuri-Urdin", equipped for ice skating and ice hockey. This is a place everyone will enjoy.
Friday: Free Day - Sports A day reserved for the teachers and the students to organise their own plans. If the weather is good, you could play soccer on the beach, or perhaps beach volleyball? With a little imagination, there is never a dull time in San Sebastian.
Saturday: Visit the Guggenheim Museum - Bilbao Famous world-wide for its impressive architecture, this "titanium ship" sitting on the shore of the Nervion River hosts many exhibitions from renowned international artists and architects including such avant-garde styles like Frank Gehry, designer of the building, and great classics like Henri Matisse. We will travel to Bilbao by bus and spend the day there, visiting the city and eating lunch in the Old Quarter. We will return to San Sebastian at the end of the afternoon.
WEEK 2
Monday: Science Museum The Museum of Science offers more than 160 interactive experiments specially designed to explain the secrets of Science to both younger and older visitors. 160 "games" designed for students are based on subjects such as the Foucault Pendulum, the workings of a volcano, Darwin principles, the first engine and more. As an option, there is a Planetarium that we can visit and learn about the mysteries of outer space and the stars that make up our sky.
Tuesday: Aquarium + Mount Urgull At the Aquarium we will enjoy a 2 hour guided tour to learn about exotic and local fish including species from the deep ocean. We will be introduced to their habitats and we will take the special opportunity to watch the marvelous sharks in the transparent tube that will allow us to nearly touch their frightening jaws! After the visit, if time allows, we will walk to the top of Mount Urgull to visit its 18th century castle. San Sebastian Aquarium is considered one of the best in Europe, sure to be an unforgettable experience!

Prefer to explore the city on your own today? Feel free to take today to adventure to Ondaretta, climb Mt. Ulia, or anything else you'd like to do.
Thursday: Fishing village of Fuenterrabia We will visit Fuenterrabia, a typical fishing village located 15 minutes by car from San Sebastian near the French border. We will walk along its narrow old streets and imagine what life was like in the days of old. Then, we will take a boat across the river to the sport harbour of Hendaya, the first village in France just over the border.
Friday: San Telmo Museum & Chocolate with Churros A typical afternoon in San Sebastian. We will visit the San Telmo Museum where we will get to know the Basque culture and its townships. The museum is in a picturesque building situated right in the middle of the Old Quarter at the foot of Monte Urgull. After, we will snack on the traditional chocolate with churros, a treat for the sweet tooth in all of us.
