Description

If what you need is for your students to have maximum practice or just experience full immersion in a Spanish speaking environment with language lessons in the mornings and lots of fun-filled activities in the afternoons, we will organise a course with all your needs in mind. Minimum stay is one week. Please Contact Us for full course details and pricing.

You can choose a programme from 20 lessons (45 minutes per lesson) per week and even decide what you want your students to study: topics, level, grammar. There should be a minimum of 6 students per level.

Course Basics

Class Schedule: Unless otherwise requested, lessons will take place between 9:30-11:00 and 11:30-13:00 Monday - Friday.

Activities: depends on the quantity requested; between 3 and 5 activities per week, in the afternoon, between 15:00 and 19:00 + the option of a full day excursion on Saturdays.

  • FAD: room and breakfast
  • FMP: half board (breakfast and dinner)
  • FPC: full board for the junior course 'JSC' and for groups.

Shared apartments

  • The teachers in charge of the group may choose to stay in a shared apartment with students or with other teachers.
  • The students do not have this option.

Accommodation conditions

  • The accommodations will be available from Sunday at 14:00 until Saturday morning at 12:00. The listed prices are for this time period. If more days are needed for travel reasons, please request the corresponding extra days as soon as possible.
  • Shared apartments: A 150 € deposit is required upon arrival. Whatever loss or damage attributed to a student will be discounted from the deposit before the sum is returned at the end of the stay.
  • The accommodations include sheets, but the student must bring towels.
  • The accommodations are all located within 5 to 30 minutes from the school, by foot or in public transportation.
  • Students that come together may request a double room. Indicate the name of the accompanying student on the application.
  • High season for shared apartments: from June 6th - September 18th
Activities

The students will be accompanied by a chaperone from the school; we have included bus tickets, entrance to the activities and all other materials that will be needed. If you are unable to do an activity for reasons outside of the school's control, it may be substituted for a similar activity.

Standard Programme for a stay of 5 days

  • Tuesday: Aquarium + Old Quarter / Urgull Castle. An excursion that will teach you the secrets of the ocean and the history of the city.
  • Wednesday: Science Museum. This is sure to quench your thirst for knowledge.
  • Thursday: Visit the ancient fishing village of Fuenterrabia. Today it is the same as it has been for centuries when the town lived off the sea.

Standard Programme for a stay of 6 days

  • Monday: San Sebastian Panoramic. Get to know the city starting at the top.
  • Tuesday: Aquarium + Old Quarter / Urgull Castle. An excursion that will teach you the secrets of the ocean and the history of the city.
  • Wednesday: Science Museum. This is sure to quench your thirst for knowledge.
  • Thursday: The fishing village of Fuenterrabia. Today it is the same as it has been for centuries when the town lived off the sea.
  • Friday: San Telmo Museum & Chocolate with churros. A typical afternoon in San Sebastian. You will lick your fingers.

Junior Surfing 1 Week

  • Monday - Friday: Surf classes! Includes insurance and materials (board + wetsuit)

  • Tuesday: San Sebastian Panoramic.
  • Wednesday: Movie at the school.
  • Thursday: Ice Skating.
  • Friday: Free day - sports / movie.
  • Saturday: Visit the Guggenheim. The most famous museum in Europe is just a 1 hour bus ride from San Sebastian.

WEEK 2

  • Monday: Science Museum.
  • Tuesday: Aquarium + Mount Urgull
  • Wednesday: Movie at the school
  • Thursday: The fishing village of Fuenterrabia. Today it is the same as it has been for centuries when the town lived off the sea.
  • Friday: San Telmo Museum & Chocolate with churros. A typical afternoon in San Sebastian.

General Conditions

Annual calendar

  • We offer group courses between January 4 & December 17, 2010.
  • The school is closed for the following festive days: January 1, 6, 20; March 19; April 02, 05; October 12; November 01; December 06, 08.
  • Missed classes due to holidays will not be refunded.

Conditions

  • With the goal of maintaining the highest standard of learning at our school, we insist that students attend all classes and complete all assigned homework. This allows the group to advance together at a natural pace.
  • The school reserves the right to expel a student without refund if their conduct is unacceptable in class, at school, in the accommodation or during any other service provided by the school.
  • The reduced prices for long stays apply only to consecutive stays and only when payment is received in full before the commencement of the course.

Insurance

  • We recommend that the students acquire travel and cancellation insurance for the trip. If you wish, the school can suggest a good deal.
  • Social Security provides medical attention to citizens of the European Union, but you must present your European Health Card, which you can ask for at the Social Security office in your country before coming to Spain. Remember to bring it with you.
  • Citizens of other countries must find an insurance company in their country that is covered by the Spanish Social Security system.

Payments

  • 30% of the total payment is required to confirm a reservation.
  • The rest of the tuition will be collected 15 days before the start of the course (at the latest).

Cancellations

  • Before 16 days from the start of the course, a cancellation will result in the loss of the deposit.
  • Cancellations made 15 days or less before the start of the course will result in the complete loss of tuition paid.
  • It is possible to substitute a student that has cancelled their trip for another student. A surcharge may be charged if it is necessary to reorganise families to suit the student's accommodation needs. This surcharge will be considered depending on the specifics of each individual case.
