Queen Letizia at the first INSTITUTO CERVANTES Directors meeting in San Sebastián
From the 20th to the 22nd of December the Instituto Cervantes held its first Directors' meeting in the Basque Country, specifically in San Sebastian.
Queen Letizia was invited to the inauguration ceremony held on December 20th in Tabakalera, a cultural centre located next to our school.
This long-awaited annual meeting was supported by the Provincial Council of Guipúzcoa, the Basque Government and the City Council of San Sebastián and brought together more than 70 executives who run Cervantes organization from its headquarters in Madrid and in the 45 countries in which it is present.
Ignacio Grande Ruiz, our Director of Studies, attended on behalf of International House San Sebastián.
Precisely in 2022 Lacunza Escuela Internacional celebrates 20 years as an Accredited Centre by the Cervantes Institute, becoming one of the first 10 centres to obtain this quality recognition. This accreditation helps us to continue to deepen, reflect on and improve the quality of all the services we offer our students.
Since then, every year more students take the exam with us to accredit their level with the official DELE exams (Diploma de Español Lengua Extranjera).
There are also many candidates who pass through our school every year to get their CCSE certificate (Conocimientos constitucionales y socioculturales de España), a requirement to obtain Spanish nationality.
For example, in 2021 nearly 300 students have taken the DELE exam with us and more than 400 candidates the CCSE tests at Lacunza. Congratulations to succesfull candidates!
